With the permission of George Cardinal Mundelein, the Claretians established a high school seminary, Saint Jude Seminary, in Momence, Illinois in 1932. The original building and campus sat upon a twelve acre property but the high school seminary soon outgrew the property as enrollment increased. Five years later, a new campus was purchased adjacent to the Illinois Dixie Highway and a new seminary building was constructed due to the tireless fundraising of the Saint Jude Police League.
The high school seminary educated boys with budding vocations to the priesthood and brotherhood until its closure in 1970.
