After establishing themselves in Texas and California, the Claretians were invited to assume ministry of parishes in the state of Arizona in 1914. They began in Immaculate Conception Church in Yuma, and as dioceses sought after Spanish-speaking priests, they were able to expand their missions throughout the state.
